Plastic for Young Adults

When I was a teenager, I got my first credit card. My mom co-signed so that I would qualify. She didn't know what she was getting into! These days, you can use a debit card linked to a checking account to get kids used to the idea of credit cards. Unlike credit cards, debit cards will show a deduction each time they're used. This may help big spenders people limit their spending -- there's something psychological about watching your account go to zero.
