I recently heard a song that I thought you might enjoy. A bluegrass band called Sweet Sunny South did a song titled Paonia State Bank Jingle (I'm not sure if it's really a commercial or not, but I think it is). Listen from the band's website (song #15) and see what you think. Then demand that your bank offers the same type of friendly feel.

Hi ive goggled my band and found some funny things–this being the funniest…but interesting–I wrote the jingle about PSB and in fact a fella from a bank in texas (Lamar National Bank of Paris and Reno) heard the jingle on the cd he bought when we did a show in Creede Co–he took it to his boss and we ended up customizing the jingle for them–I havent heard back about how that s worked out for them–but i would like to know if it did for them what thye had hoped–I think they wanted it to do just what caugh your ear–they want to say to their folks that they are the frindly hometown bank…anyway–I did this jingle in the first place for oour frind Ken Grunkemeyer who was at the time Pres at PSB–he is a great guy and has since moved on to banking in Laramie Wy–he was a great supporter of music and arts in our little town and in particular he supported us and sponsored many musical events we staged–whether it was us playing or a great group that we brought to town–he really couldnt use the jingle on commercial radio–we have a great public radio station in Paonia( you cant use commercials on public radio) but the nearest town wth a radio station otherwise is Delta–30 min away–i guess he never figured it would do much good here in paonia–but anyway we approched him and asked for money towards recording the cd that came to include the jingle–he did do that and actually said he was just doing that for us and we didnt even have to record the jingle if we didnt want to—we did want to because the guy is so cool….we included a jingle I wrote on our first cd too and we plan to have one on the new cd for nex year…we are open to customizing this jingle for other banks or to write one from scratch–ill tell you tho–we arent cheap–we dont make our living producing jingles but i can make up some great stuff–or so ive been told—so if you have a way of letting other banks know about this idea please do–or contact us and thanks for finding that and mentioning it…and have a great day–thanks Bill Powers
