WAMU’s free checking just charged me $50 to reorder checks. So much for free checking. Let’s be clear, WAMU Free Checking is just a happy face that is designed to earn the depositor no interest and hopefully generate fees for the bank. New checks, $50 please. Bounced check, $29 please. Get it.
