HSBC at 5.05% APY

It's hard to keep up with what they're paying at HSBC. They've recently moved up to 5.05% -- pulling ahead of Citibank. At several institutions with high-yield savings accounts you can set up a checking account too. That way, you get high interest on your cash with the ability to instantly transfer it over to checking. See a description of how to do this with HSBC as an example.
