The recent changes in Washington DC will affect our lives in several ways. One of them is the interest rates on student loans. Nancy Pelosi declared a goal to make some changes to these rates within the first 100 hours of her watch. She'd like to see interest rates cut in half on new student loans -- slashing rates on Stafford Loans from 6.8% to 3.4%. Time will tell if the goverment thinks we can afford these changes. If so, school will be a lot easier to pay for.
