Symantec recently released their Internet Security Threat Report. This study shows that scammers are getting increasingly sophisticated, and it highlights a market for items that thieves might find handy. Phishing toolkits offer a turnkey solution for wanna-be phishers -- so they don't have to know how to write code and create fake sites. Also, Symantec surveyed markets for stolen information. Your bank account info is worth anywhere from $30 to $400.

What can you do? Be careful when you're online. Don't visit sites that you can't trust, and don't open messages that you weren't expecting. This should be standard operating procedure for all internet users by now. [via Future Tense podcast]
