You see a lot of ads for free credit scores, but most of these are misleading. At best, you can get a free credit score under a trial offer, and cancel the agreement at no cost. At worst, you'll never get anything for free and you have to sign up. For example, we recently found out how a site named Freetriplescore.com actually actually costs $30/month.
However, there are a few ways you can get free credit scores. You can ask for them when you go for a loan, and there are a few other options.
