Prosper.com announced that you can once again use their service to apply for a loan.
The P2P lending service stopped operating temporarily, but has worked with regulators to figure out how the company can link borrowers and lenders over the internet.
To get a loan at Prosper.com, you create a listing or request -similar to an eBay listing if you're selling something. Lenders "bid" to fund your loan, and if everything works out you get the money.
Prosper.com also changed their lending model to include established institutions as well as individual lenders. [via NetBanker]
