Banks and credit unions both offer similar services. Most of us can get what we need - checking, savings, and a loan or two - from either one. So which is better?
As with many things, it depends.
You almost always have to give something up when you make a choice. Large banks have a little more horsepower, but they don't have the same rates and personal service you get from a credit union or small bank. Some credit unions are very friendly, while others do all the same things that drive you away from your bank.
