For a bank that hasn't opened yet, BankSimple has gotten a lot of press.
BankSimple hopes to offer a different kind of banking. Their goal is to simplify banking and do away with "the fees, the constantly changing rules, the crappy customer service."
Ally Bank used a similar approach: promising fair treatment and making light of existing banks' absurdities. I'm not sure how much Ally has delivered, but they seem to get fairly good reviews.
The timing is good for BankSimple. There's a general distrust towards existing banks, and any way to stick it to 'em is welcomed with open arms.
If you want to be part of BankSimple's evolution, get in touch with them. They're gathering input on what customers want from their next bank. If all goes well, this may be a business designed by customers before the grand opening.
