ING Direct is a big name in the online banking world. Now they're helping little savers with the Kids Savings Account
Previously, you couldn't open an ING Direct account for a child. There were alternatives (you could earmark a subaccount for a child or develop a cumbersome workaround), but now kids can officially have money under their name and their own login credentials.
An adult needs to be a joint account holder, and there are limits on what children can do. For example, only adults can set up transfers and automatic savings plans. However, kids can get a feel for what it's like to bank online and save money. [via NetBanker]
