ING Direct - Now for Kids

ING Direct is a big name in the online banking world.  Now they're helping little savers with the Kids Savings Account

Previously, you couldn't open an ING Direct account for a child.  There were alternatives (you could earmark a subaccount for a child or develop a cumbersome workaround), but now kids can officially have money under their name and their own login credentials.

An adult needs to be a joint account holder, and there are limits on what children can do.  For example, only adults can set up transfers and automatic savings plans.  However, kids can get a feel for what it's like to bank online and save money. [via NetBanker]
