Google does more and more every day. In addition to finding pages you might be interested in, the search giant now compares financial products like savings accounts and credit cards. If you search for "savings accounts," the first link will take you to Google's comparison page.
NetBanker analyzed Google's savings account comparisons, noting that it's still just a test. However, it's more evidence that Google wants to do much more than show you where to surf.
If you love all things Google, you'll soon be able to do more and more on that basic white page. For now, it's best to compare rates somewhere that casts a wider net -- or even relies on human effort. DepositAccounts has been on top of bank rates for a while, but MyBankTracker and Bankrate are worth a look as well.
