Credit scores are confusing, but they affect whether or not we can get loans, insurance, and even jobs.  A new study from the Consumer Federation of America (CFA) and VantageScore Solutions took consumers' temperature to gauge how much we know about our scores.

You don't need to know all the details -- and the details may not be available anyway.  Just be aware that there are a variety of scores out there, and a 700 on one scale is not the same as a 700 on another scale.  It can be a great score or a decent one.

Learn more about the basics of credit scores so you can keep all of your scores in good shape.  Test your knowledge at CreditScoreQuiz.org.
