For example, 7 percent of consumers who switched banks in a Javelin Strategy & Research survey switched because of mobile banking -- it's important enough that these people will go to the trouble to open new accounts and close out old ones.
If you haven't been using mobile banking, it's worth a look. Instead of sitting at the computer you can take care of business anywhere. One of the best features is mobile check deposit, which allows you to deposit checks by taking a photo of the document with your smartphone.
Mobile banking is about as secure as banking with your PC. If you're careful, the risks are probably lower than banking in person (and using paper). If your technology is infected with spyware or a virus, you're going to have problems.
