It's still possible to bank for 'free' but it's not as easy as it used to be. Bank fees have changed in recent years, and you may be surprised at what costs money.
CNN Money put together a list of the most annoying bank fees out there, and ATM fees don't even make the cut!
As you decide where to bank, find out if any of those fees will affect you. For example, it may cost money to talk to a teller if you signed up for a low-cost online account. The tradeoffs may be worth it to you, but if not you'll have to choose an account that accomodates in-branch banking.
Also, if you haven't looked at a bank statement in a while, it's worth checking to see if you pay these fees.
