It can't be easy to be a bank these days. Since the financial crisis, banks are less popular than ever, and having a hard time earning what they used to.

Consumers are not sympathetic. A survey conducted by Intuit Financial Services reveals that customers are likely to switch banks -- in large part due to increased fees. The study found that 36% of consumers will soon change banks  (or they already have).

While you may come out ahead by switching banks or moving to a credit union, you can also create some headaches for yourself. Plan ahead to save money and time. Find out what you need to know before you change banks.
