Definition: A share draft account is a checking account at a credit union.
Some credit unions offer share draft accounts with all the same features of a bank checking account, and you may earn interest (or dividends) on your deposits:
Credit unions use a different language, referring to your dollars on deposit as "shares" because they represent ownership of the credit union. Instead of calling you a customer, you're a "member" of the credit union. "Savings accounts" at credit unions are known as Share Accounts.
