The website is attractive, and offers hope for a way out of the credit crunch:
"With banks tightening credit, the American people will solve the credit crisis by helping each other."
It's also a well-packaged marketing strategy to get you to use the services. Lending Club and Virgin Money joined forces, brought on a few helpers, and promise to help you wade through the credit crunch with UNCRUNCH AMERICA. They link to lenders, educators, communities, and online money management providers from UnCrunch.org.
If you can't get a loan from the banks, peer to peer lending is worth investigating. The software and services are probably also useful, although I haven't used any of them. Our Financial Software expert has reviewed some of the services (such as Geezeo), so search her site for more details. [via NetBanker]
