Need to find an online bank account, but don't know which one to choose?
Kiplinger's named Ally Bank the best high yield savings account at the end of 2009. Ally Bank made a name for itself by positioning itself as an honest, customer-focused bank. It's the old GMAC Bank with a new paint job, and the strategy is working well.
Sometimes you can't go too far wrong by going with the crowd. In the world of online banking, where rates and leaders constantly change, the most important thing is to get a competitive deal. If you insist on getting the best deal, you'll have to switch banks every other week.
I haven't used Ally Bank and don't have any relationship with them, but customer input is mostly positive. They're probably not much better or worse than any of the other leading online banks.
