Student Loans and Hard Times

'Tis the season to repay student loans.

After a six month grace period, recent graduates who've put off repaying Stafford loans have to start making payments.  It's always a challenge, but the economy is making things even harder.  Marketwatch.com reports that student loan default rates are rising to record levels.

If you can't repay your student loans, get help now.  You may be able to postpone repayment if you can prove that you can't afford to pay.  Don't just ignore the bills; student loans are difficult to get rid 0f - even in bankruptcy.
